Multi-Family Developments on Vancouver’s Cambie Corridor
The Cambie Corridor Plan is a multi-phased plan by the City of Vancouver to create new communities along the Canada Line, Metro Vancouver’s rapid transit line that connects Vancouver to Richmond. Spanning several decades, the Cambie Corridor Plan is one of the largest neighbourhood-wide densification plans in the city’s history.
Over the last few years, Innotech Windows + Doors has manufactured and supplied our European-style windows and doors for many of the multi-family developments on the Cambie Corridor. Specifying high-performance fenestration has many benefits for the developers, building teams and homeowners:
The City of Vancouver and the Province of British Columbia both have building codes that require buildings to meet high performance targets. Innotech high-performance windows and doors directly impact a building’s overall energy efficiency by delivering superior air resistance and thermal performance.
Low to high-rise buildings are often designed with aluminum fenestration with window walls that are very costly. Our hybrid uPVC windows allow progressive building teams to replicate the look of window walls with punched openings while simultaneously decreasing the fenestration budget and increasing the fenestration performance.
Large operable windows, endless fixed window, operable window and/or door combinations, and many durable interior and exterior finishes allow architects to design striking and functional window assemblies.
Many multi-family communities in Vancouver are designed with luxurious interiors and finishes. High-quality European-style windows and doors compliment brands that are defined by craftsmanship, performance and durability.
Discerning homeowners value healthy interiors: quiet spaces that provide a reprieve from outside noise, comfortable spaces with a consistent ideal temperature in all seasons, bright spaces with ample natural light, and spaces with plentiful natural ventilation.
Innotech has the manufacturing and project management experience to support building teams involved in large complex developments. With over two decades of experience, our team works closely with the entire building team throughout the design, pre-construction and installation.
