Innotech manufactured and supplied the Passive House Institute certified fenestration for The Peak. For the residential units, Innotech supplied our Passive House International (PHI) certified Defender 88PH+ Pro windows and doors. And for the storefront, Innotech supplied our PHI-certified storefront windows and doors with an aluminum clad finish.
To control solar heat gain, The Peak also features exterior solar shades distributed by MHZ North America. These motor operated shades have solar sensors and are motor operated. They are available in a wide range of fabrics to effectively control heat gain and light transmittance.
The building’s passive house certification means it will consume up to 90% less heating and cooling energy than conventional buildings, dramatically reducing operating costs and aligning with long-term goals under the CleanBC Plan.”

The Peak has hosted several project tours for city officials and building professionals. One of the tours was a HAVAN Technical Tailgate where a sold-out crowd gathered to learn about the design strategies, building materials and building technologies used throughout the project to achieve the Passive House standard.
Exterior Solar Shades
The Peak features exterior solar shades by MHZ North America to control solar heat gain. These motor operated shades have solar panels to detect sunlight and have battery powered wireless controls. Available in a wide range of fabric options to meet your desired aesthetic, shading needs and lighting requirements.
Tilt + Turn Doors
The Peak features Passive House Institute certified Tilt + Turn Doors. These doors function similar to our tilt and turn windows, but are larger to provide access to the patios. In the tilt position, the doors provide effective natural ventilation, while in the turn position, they provide egress.
