The Louisa Flower Achieves LEED® Platinum Certification

The Louisa Flowers was designed by LEVER Architecture and LRS Architects for Home Forward. Completed in 2019 by O’Neill/Walsh Community Builders (OWCB), it is the City of Portland’s largest affordable housing development built in the last 50 years. The 240 apartments are a mix of studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments.

Innotech supplied 488 high-performance windows for the apartments. The 6-month manufacturing and delivery schedule was carefully coordinated with OWCB to ensure the windows were delivered as soon as they were ready to be installed to eliminate any potential complications related to on-site storage and to ensure a continuous work-flow. In addition to in-house water resistance testing, on-site water testing was conducted on approximately 10% of the windows.

The apartments have many energy-efficient window combinations with large tilt and turn windows that provide effective natural ventilation.

The Defender 76TS is a high-performance window made with our durable hybrid framing system that provides superior air tightness (energy-efficiency), water resistance, and acoustical performance. The occupants benefits from draft-free and quiet spaces, while the building owners benefit from lower energy costs and ease of maintenance.
