Eco-Solar Home Tour in Edmonton
The Eco-Solar Home Tour is an exciting opportunity for green building enthusiasts in and around Edmonton, Alberta to tour 21 highly energy-efficient buildings. One of the stops on this year’s 2-day tour features our windows: site 10 Bonnie Doon office.
Site 10 is the soon-to-be new office for Edmonton’s own Effect Home Builders. Known for combining sustainable technologies with design excellence, it’s no surprise they’re taking their own office building to the next level.
The new office will be the first workplace in Edmonton disconnected from the electrical grid. The existing 2-storey building is undergoing a deep energy retrofit to transform it into one of the city’s most energy-efficient, durable and comfortable spaces. Once complete, the sustainable office building will feature:
- Micro Combined Heat and Power (mCHP) unit
- Solar panels
- BASF WALLTITE® Spray Foam exterior insulation
- Triple glazed Innotech windows
- Much more!
