1960’s Victoria Home Transformed, with Help from Innotech

The 60’s brought about many technological wonders, but unlike LEDs, touch tone phones and the 8-track player, energy efficient construction techniques were years away from becoming mainstream.  And so, when it came time to completely renovate their 1960’s era home, these Victoria homeowners knew they wanted to meld contemporary design with the latest in energy efficient technology.

Luckily, the homeowners recently toured Innotech’s manufacturing facility in Abbotsford BC, and so they were able to see first hand the engineering that goes into making our fenestration among the most high performing in the country. When it came time choose windows and doors they selected our Defender 76TS System, and the results are spectacular both inside and out.

The home’s fenestration plays an important role in its energy efficiency, but it’s far from the only high performance item; the entire renovation process was designed to maximize natural heat and energy management. Thanks to the latest in building techniques, technology, and design choices, the most expensive gas bill the homeowners have received so far is just $19! That’s groovy.
