Platinum Earth Advantage® Multifamily Certifications for Two Oregon Projects
Innotech Windows + Doors manufactured the high-performance windows and doors for two affordable housing projects that both achieved Platinum Earth Advantage® Multifamily certification. Designed by Carleton Hart Architecture and built by LMC Construction for Community Partners for Affordable Housing, the Red Rock Creek Commons and the Cedar Grove Apartments were designed and built to be energy-efficient buildings that support the health and wellness of residents.
Red Rock Creek Commons
The Red Rock Creek Commons in Tigard, Oregon, is a 48-unit affordable housing supportive community designed for health and healing. A large deck overlooking the creek, sunshades that beautifully soften the sun’s light, and several trauma-informed design principles work in tandem to provide a comfortable home for residents.
The theme of natural beauty, strength, and endurance is consistent with the spirit of supportive community to which Red Rock Creek Commons aspires.

Several energy efficient design choices were made whose long-term benefits outweigh upfront costs. These measures include the rooftop solar array, continuous insulation, on-demand water heater, and energy efficient fenestration. Red Rock Creek Commons achieved Platinum Earth Advantage® Multifamily certification and was a 2021 Green Builder of the Year Winner.
Cedar Grove Apartments
Cedar Grove Apartments is an affordable housing community in Beaverton, Oregon, with 44 homes for low-income residents including eight for at-risk families recovering from homelessness. The development and design teams prioritized trauma-informed design elements and energy efficient design features to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents.
Unique wellness design elements include two outdoor courtyards with a splash pad, play structure, climbing wall and seating. Inside Cedar Grove Apartments, residents enjoy a large library with acoustic panels, comfortable seating and natural light.
Sustainable design features at Cedar Grove Apartments include advanced framing, continuous exterior insulation, on-demand hot water system, rooftop solar array and high-performance Innotech windows. The project achieved Platinum Earth Advantage® Multifamily certification.
High-Performance Fenestration
Innotech manufactured the high-performance fenestration for Red Rock Creek Commons and Cedar Grove Apartments. While the owner of the two projects benefits from lower energy costs and durable windows, the many residents benefits from comfortable and quiet homes with ample natural light and natural ventilation.
