The City of Vancouver invested about $25 million in land towards the partnership for the three land trust buildings. The BRice is the first of the three land trust buildings that will cumulatively create 358 new affordable rental and co-op units throughout the city. The BRice will offer 48  of those units and have protected rent for households earning between $30,000 and $70,000 annually.

The BRice was designed by DYS Architecture and built by Performance Construction. Innotech supplied all of the windows for the four story mixed-use project. The Defender 76DS System offers tenants comfort and ventilation, while the owners benefit from superior energy efficiency, low maintenance expenses, and long-term durability.
