Bringing the Team Together, Our Annual Summer Celebration
Every summer, our team comes together for one of the most anticipated events of the year, our Innotech Summer BBQ! It’s a day to relax, connect and celebrate the incredible people who make our company what it is. The afternoon was filled with laughter, delicious food and plenty of fun activities that brought everyone together.
This year, the management team put on a new hat: professional BBQ chefs! Along with support from our all-star social committee, they grilled the entire team a delicious feast. We’re pretty confident they’re ready to hit the competitive barbecue circuit as Canada’s newest pitmasters.
After lunch, our President, Troy Imbery, kicked off the event with an inspiring speech, reflecting on the company’s continued success and the teamwork that drives Innotech forward. Despite the unpredictable economic and politic landscapes, we continued to thrive and achieved several milestones – a reminder that teamwork has the ability to surmount many challenges!
We were also joined by John Harrison from Douglas College, who delivered an insightful presentation on Client Success. With nearly four decades of experience in sales and customer care, John shared practical strategies and inspiring stories about building lasting client relationships, a session that left everyone motivated and engaged.
This year’s Innotech T-Shirt Design Competition brought out everyone’s creative side. Many team members submitted designs that celebrated our company’s spirit and craftsmanship. After much anticipation, Ritanshi’s design “Wanted for Exceeding Performance Standards” was voted the winner! Her fun and clever artwork captured the pride, humour and excellence that define Innotech.
The afternoon continued with more friendly competition and laughter. One of the crowd favorites was the “Guess How Many Timbits Are” in the Jar game. With 59 Timbits inside, Jasvir came the closest and took home the prize! Another highlight was the 50/50 raffle draw, which brought extra excitement to the day. Lakhvinder (below) was the lucky winner, taking home half of the total collected amount – congrats to both winners.
The highlight of the afternoon was the employee gift draw, where every team member’s name was entered for a chance to win. Each draw was met with cheers and smiles as prizes found their lucky winners, an exciting way to show appreciation for the whole team’s efforts.
And of course, no summer BBQ is complete without great food and a sweet ending. The team enjoyed a delicious meal together, followed by a surprise visit from Rolled West Coast, a perfect treat to wrap up a warm, sunny afternoon.
At Innotech, we believe that success isn’t just about what we build, it’s about the people who build it. Events like our annual BBQ remind us how important it is to celebrate teamwork, creativity and connection. We’re already looking forward to next year!
