BONE Structure Whistler
In 2014, Innotech supplied all of the windows and doors for the first BONE Structure® home in Western Canada. Located in the heart of the Okanagan, the high-performance Februar House was designed and built to have uninterrupted views of Okanagan Lake.
The project made a lasting impact. It introduced the patented BONE Structure building system to homeowners and builders in British Columbia. One such builder was Randy Warm of Ringmaster Construction.
Based in North Vancouver, BC, Randy has been building award-winning homes in the Sea to Sky Corridor for nearly 20 years. Always on the lookout for ways to enhance his builds to provide his clients with even greater value – in the form of increased energy savings, improved durability and all-season comfort – Randy saw an exciting opportunity when he first learned of BONE Structure.
“I was impressed,” says Randy. “The BONE Structure system not only allows us to build a home in a fraction of the time, but it also allows us to build a home with twice the performance. Our clients also love the simplified design process; they’re able to focus on the interior details that interests them because they know the building envelope is already the best it can be.”
Canadian made BONE Structure is a high-performance light steel construction system that is versatile, durable and eco-friendly. Ideal for residential, multi-family and commercial projects, the BONE Structure system is designed for homeowners and building professionals who want more from their builds.
With over 3,500 square feet of comfortable living space, the high-performance home in Whistler features BONE Structure’s trademark large open spaces with impressive floor-to-ceiling windows and doors. “We selected Innotech products for this home because they are the perfect fit for the BONE Structure system,” says Randy. “The windows and doors have the energy, thermal and structural performance to match BONE Structure’s high-performance building envelope.”
Innotech supplied our European windows and doors in a charcoal black exterior and white interior finish. Featuring our Hybrid Framing and Defender Hardware Systems, our products are engineered to provide superior air, water and structural performance even when built for extra-large openings – a perfect complement to the BONE Structure system.
On November 20-22, 2015 BONE Structure hosted a Bare BONE Open House at this beautiful home. Over 500 visited the home and discovered the benefits of building with high-performance building technologies and materials. Watch the trailer and the recap of the event here:
