Menno Terrace East

Located in the heart of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Menno Terrace East is an independent living facility which offers a mix of assisted living units and supportive housing units for seniors.

Together with the architect, developers and building owners, Innotech helped to build a highly durable, comfortable and environmentally sustainable adult care facility with very low maintenance and operating costs. Menno Terrace East features durable steel and concrete construction with brick facing, large punched opening windows, and floor to ceiling windows and swing doors at the balconies.

In addition to breathtaking views of Mount Baker, the large windows and doors also provide abundant natural light, helping to alleviate seasonal affective disorder (SAD). They also allow older adults with restricted mobility the opportunity to experience the outdoors – sunshine and fresh air – from the comfort and security of their private suites.

The high performance glass package features significant visible light transmission with low U-values and solar shading to reduce energy consumption. The dual action tilt + turn hardware is also easy to operate and provides comfortable and draft free ventilation.

Menno Terrace East also benefits from very low maintenance and operating costs. Innotech windows and doors require no refinishing, such as painting or staining; provide superior thermal insulation and solar shading to significantly reduce energy consumption; and are easier to maintain over their life cycle.

At Menno Terrace East, both the residents and the building owner benefit from Innotech windows and doors.
