402 Lakeshore Drive is a luxurious four-unit condominium located on the shores of Okanagan Lake in Penticton, BC. The two-storey building features a total of 7,268 square feet with two units on each storey ranging in size from 1,391 to 2,100 square feet. All four units feature high-quality construction, open concept floor plans and high-end finishing.
Located across from public beaches, sound control and security were a priority. “It was important that we didn’t compromise comfort for aesthetics,” says Tony Giroux at Westplan Building Design. “We wanted large openings to take advantage of the views and maximize natural light, but we also wanted our homeowners to be comfortable and safe.”
The fourplex features the latest sound-damping construction techniques, as well as Innotech products with upgraded clear laminated glass having an STC of 39. With multi-point locks, steel reinforced frames, welding corners and laminated glass, the occupants are also safe from casual break-in attempts.
Thermal insulation was also important. Penticton can get very warm in the summer and cold in the winter. With Okanagan Lake across the street, the building is exposed to strong winds. The floor to ceiling windows and doors with triple weatherseals are not only qualified for Energy Star Zone C, they also control unwanted solar heat gain helping the occupants stay comfortable year round.
In addition to Tilt + Turn Windows, Tilt + Turn Doors, Entry Doors and Terrace Swing Doors, all four units also feature our dual action pleated shades.
