Laura’s Place Awarded AIA 2017 Small Project Award
Congratulations to Architecture Building Culture for being the recipient of a 2017 Small Project Award by The American Institute of Architects for Laura’s Place. Laura’s Place is a transitional housing project in Portland managed by Central City Concern. The Small Project Awards honours small projects that have made a big impact.
Architecture Building Culture specified Innotech windows and doors for the project. Completed in 2005, the expansion of Laura’s Place increased the home’s capacity by 30% by adding two housing units, improved the communal areas in the home, and increased the safety and security of the home. We supplied Tilt + Turn Windows, Picture Windows, Terrace Swing Doors and window and door coverings for the project.
Laura’s Place was also awarded a 2016 Citation Award by AIA Northwest & Pacific Region Design Awards.
